CHEAT DEATH BY DISCOVERING YOUR CALLING
The quality of your success depends on how
you fulfill your calling. Failing to identify your call may lead you to failure
in whatever you do. Your effectiveness and creativity will be increased when
you find your calling. Life without knowing your true purpose of existence on
earth is wasted.
No one has been created and put in this
world without being given a particular cause. There is a cause behind your
existence. Your job in life is to find that cause. There is something that you
have come to accomplish on this beautiful earth. You tend to think that it is
by chance that you find yourself in places that you occupy but in contrary, the
truth is that there is a role that you have been assigned to accomplish before
you leave the world. You have been placed by god exactly where you should be placed to
grow and soar in life. But this will surely happen if you discover your calling.

Ignoring your calling can be as dangerous
as loosing direction and can lead you to early life surrender. Ignoring your
calling can lead you to emotional suicide. We find lots of people around us who
have lost connections with who they are originally. They have simply forgotten
their inner awesomeness. They lost touch with their lire purpose. They are
simply spending their days without doing significant life works. Here is an
example to help you in getting the importance of choosing your calling or life
work.
In seminary high schools, when students are about to finish
their studies, they are advised to think about their calling before they choose
whether they want to go on with priesthood or continue their life normally.
In our
routine practices, we find lots of times, student’s choices are motivated by
parents’ pressure or imitation principle. What I mean from parents pressure is
they direct their children to follow their advices just because they are mature
enough and have all rights to guide their kids. They just preach what actually
they have followed in their lives. Whether they are successful or failure today
but they simply compel their kids to imitate them. Choosing a career is done by
ignoring the inner voice of youngsters. This practice is too costly. But on the
other hand, to be
rich, first discover your calling. Remember the greatest actors, singers,
musicians, writers, lyricists, politicians and sports spirits all understood
this principle deeply and took the big advantage in their life time by choosing
their callings as their life works. Because whatever you choose to pursue as a
career, you have to live it for at least forty years. You have to champion it
to champion its rewards. You have to practice it every day with energy,
honesty, integrity and curiosity. Whatever you choose without your deep
interest, you find yourself unable to follow these virtues after initial few
years. Then there comes a stage within two to three years, when you start
becoming a robot from morning to evening, according to external world
programming. You start losing interest from your profession. You start finding
weaknesses in your job. You start blaming your colleagues. But actually, the
truth is, you are not living your calling. You are not on your cause. You are
not following your divine calling. You are fighting with universal and eternal
success principles. The people who understand this eternal truth which is,
every person comes in this world with a cause and a gift. The one who invests
his energy in finding that gift is winner in real terms. He never complains for
opportunities, external climate and economy. He knows that whatever I will get
in external world that will be a mirror image of my inner world.
It
is a blessing for me as I am sharing the truth of your unique and blessed
existence to you. You have been given eternal powers to flourish in life. You
have been given infinite inner blessings to win at life. You have a calling
that is waiting to be discovered. Your treasures are lying deep within you.
Your heart deeply knows that you are here to rock. But there is a hard truth
also, that says, anything of value comes to you with consistent efforts and a
deep conviction in your inner abilities. Believe me, you are a person of huge
personal worth. You are eternal in real sense. You have to commit yourself to
find your passion.
How
can you discover your calling?
Your
calling is inside you, so you are the only one who should be sure and
determined about it. Just ask yourself following questions:
a.
Are you comfortable with
your career? This question helps you to
evaluate your intentions of doing that you are doing at present. Are
you living according to your calling?
Are you thinking beyond your own benefits in
life? Are you dreaming to make people smile in their lives? Are you creating
jobs and values to your community? Are you making people realizing their true potential?
Are you bringing people out of their comfort zone? Are you making any
contribution to your society? Are you building your legacy? Is your career in
harmony with your calling? If the answer is YES that it is very good for you and for those around you, but if NO, I invite you from today itself, start
discovering your calling. A career that is in
harmony with your calling will let you feel good, free and satisfied no matter
how difficulties are presented to you in life, you will always find that you
are far bigger than any of your difficulty.
b. What kind of services would you like to offer to others
unconditionally? Giving is always better than
receiving. There is an eternal joy in the process of giving. Giving actually
starts the receiving process. If you do not feel good when you offer a
service or something to someone who needed it, it means that what you are
offering to people is different from what your calling was supposed to make you
offer. It simply means that there is something wrong in your path. You need to
figure it out. You need to find a work by which when you give your services to
others, you smile, laugh, feel proud, feel complete from inside, feel free from
heart and feel like you are growing every day.
c. What
kind of people do you prefer to be surrounded with?
People that you hang out with are another major key to direct
you to your calling. The quality of your life is a clear reflection of your
relationships to your friends, loved ones, customers and with your own self.
The great relationship leads to great life. You become your associations.
People around you shape your destiny. Live with complainers, blamers, abusers
and you will become the next one of that kind. This principle is of huge worth
that spend time with people who have discovered their callings. Associate to
people who feel that they are blessed in life. Associate to people who feel
they are having abundant resources in life to succeed. The kind of people that
you interact with and things that you like to do together might help you to
discover your calling.
d. Which were your childhood dreams? Childhood is a very important stage where the person has
an honest and passionate perspective about life. Most of the times, your dreamt
careers in childhood reveal a perfect harmony to your callings. This is mainly
because childhood dreams are honest and full of passion, vitality, significance
and trueness. You must have observed that a child playing according to his
dreamt career looks at much ease and in a smooth flow of life. You must find
time for yourself to look back what were your childhood dreams. What was the
profession or art that you were wanted to pursue at that time? This is powerful
technique to tune you with harmony of this healing and abundant universe. Life
does not want you to struggle. Life does not want to make you feel weak,
inferior, incomplete, poor and incapable. It is your own childhood or external
world conditioning that you are having such emotions with you every day in your
life. It is totally possible to make yourself free from such killing emotions.
You can simply replace these emotions with love, peace, harmony, wealth,
self-mastery, energy, rhythm and perfect health by following your calling.
e. What is your part in making this world better? When situations are not favorable to you, you tend to
blame the world by saying that the world is getting worse day by day. Have you
ever tried to make change in the world in any way that you can? The world will only get better if each and every
one plays his or her part better. Your part is living according to your
calling. Go for it and pursue it, you will realize that it was not the fault of
the world but yours as you were acting against your calling. You disowned your
inner powers. Like in a football, the
best team is one that have team members that work together in a harmony; each and every
one understands his role and his place, one mistake of a player can ruin the whole
game and lead the entire team to lose. So is in your life. People around you
are there for a purpose, so you are.
The harmony and good life is going to be
achieved only if everyone understands his or her role in this awesome universe.
People will bless you if you discover and lead your calling to success, you
will have less complication if you live your calling. Once you discover your
calling, it will give you the greatest powers and promote extraordinary level of
self confidence.
If your calling is to be a pastor, then
live life a pastor. If you are called by eternity to be a parent, actor,
investor, technologist, good politician, doctor, lawyer, sportsman, singer,
retailer, broker, engineer, writer, manager, public speaker, motivational
speaker or an entrepreneur, then start living like them. Start learning real
life lessons of these professions. Do not listen to critics or naysayers,
follow your heart. At the end, you will be accountable for your accomplishments
in life.
Your duty is to unleash your purpose; rest is the
duty of destiny. Your job is to find your way of adding values in the lives of
people. You have to find out how you can be of use to humanity. Your job is to
serve people in a way that suits your heart the most. Your job is to find some
work that makes you feel most alive. Your work is to find your real work that
reflects great god within you. Your job is to shine out of life. Your job is to
bring the best of you to people every time you present yourself. Your job is to
speak your truth. Your job is to give birth of your higher self. Your job is to
make people realize that god still exists and he breathes through human beings.
In this way you
will be cheating death. This does not mean that you
are not going to die but your death will be like retiring from a calling after much
worked on that and rewards are going to forward you. Then you will be rich in
real terms, it is purely granted.
No matter who you are, you too can be rich if you dare to discover your
calling; because the quality of your success depends on how nicely and
authentically you fulfill your calling. Failing to identify your calling may
lead you to failure in whatever you do over and over in lifetime.
